Las piezas de tama\u00f1o estructural son sometidas en un primer paso a una clasificaci\u00f3n visual para la determinaci\u00f3n de la calidad por los criterios de la norma une 56.544. Posteriormente, se realiza la clasificaci\u00f3n mec\u00e1nica autom\u00e1tica que, a trav\u00e9s de la medida de la propiedad indicadora, establece las distintas clases de calidad. tras este proceso se determina la calidad resistente por el m\u00e9todo de ultrasonidos y por \u00faltimo, se ensayan las piezas hasta la rotura seg\u00fan la norma en 408 de determinaci\u00f3n de las propiedades f\u00edsico-mec\u00e1nicas, obteniendo los valores caracter\u00edsticos seg\u00fan las indicaciones de la norma en 384.  adem\u00e1s se efect\u00faan los c\u00e1lculos necesarios para obtener los reglajes de ajustes de la m\u00e1quina de clasificaci\u00f3n para esta especie, as\u00ed como los valores de paso entre calidades, seg\u00fan la norma en 14081-2.  se comparan los rendimientos obtenidos en los m\u00e9todos de clasificaci\u00f3n y se analiza la efectividad de las variables y par\u00e1metros utilizados actualmente en la determinaci\u00f3n de la calidad.  finalmente se hace una comparaci\u00f3n con los resultados alcanzados para otras especies (pinus nigra, pinus radiata, pinus pinaster) en estudios similares y con los datos resultantes de la caracterizaci\u00f3n con
