Desarrolla la justificaci\u00f3n te\u00f3rica del m\u00e9todo de la secci\u00f3n eficaz como caso l\u00edmite de la planificaci\u00f3n de una secci\u00f3n de material heterorresistente sin resistencia a tracci\u00f3n.  seguidamente se formula el m\u00e9todo de c\u00e1lculo basado en este criterio aplicado a una secci\u00f3n rectangular sometida a carga biexc\u00e9ntrica, resolvi\u00e9ndose inform\u00e1ticamente y reflejado sus resultados en \u00e1bacos. Se realizan aplicaciones de este criterio de c\u00e1lculo de f\u00e1bricas para las secciones de bloques huecos de hormig\u00f3n y para el dimensionado de zapatas rectangulares sometidas a carga biexc\u00e9ntrica.  se desarrollan un an\u00e1lisis te\u00f3rico y num\u00e9rico tanto de los criterios de validaci\u00f3n de nudos de f\u00e1brica como de los m\u00e9todos de tratamiento del pandeo recogidos por diversas normativas y referencias.
