Sato (f.O.Ciceris) es el agente causal de la fusariosis vascular del garbanzo. Los componentes de las poblaciones de este hongo se diferencian en patotipos (amarillez y marchitez), y en razas patog\u00e9nicas (0, 1a, 1b\/c, 2-6). Esta diversidad patog\u00e9nica tiene relevancia respecto del uso eficiente de cultivares de garbanzo resistentes a la enfermedad, la estrategia de control de la fusariosis vascular del garbanzo m\u00e1s pr\u00e1ctica y econ\u00f3micamente eficiente.  esta tesis doctoral se ha centrado en dos temas principales:  1,- la identificaci\u00f3n molecular espec\u00edfica de f.O.Ciceris y de sus razas patog\u00e9nicas.  2,- el estudio de su variabilidad gen\u00e9tica, as\u00ed como de la posible relaci\u00f3n evolutiva entre dichas razas.  para ello, hemos utilizado herramientas experimentales basadas en t\u00e9cnicas de biolog\u00eda molecular disponible, que nos han permitido desarrollar una metodolog\u00eda eficiente para identificar de forma r\u00e1pida, precisa y consistente a los aislados de f.O.Ciceris y de las razas patog\u00e9nicas prevalentes en la cuenca mediterr\u00e1nea.
