La t\u00e9cnica empleada para su estudio ha sido el \u00abscanning microscope for semiconductor characterization\u00bb (smsc), que suministra informaci\u00f3n acerca de propiedades f\u00edsico-qu\u00edmicas de la uni\u00f3n con resoluci\u00f3n microm\u00e9trica, a partir de medidas de fotocorriente, fotovoltaje y electrorreflectancia. Las im\u00e1genes digitales obtenidas se han utilizado para investigar la distribuci\u00f3n espacial de las propiedades analizadas.  las medidas de electrorreflectancia de electrolito obtenidas durante el proceso de oxidaci\u00f3n del agua en la interfase rus2\/h2so4 han sido atribuidas en este trabajo a heterogeneidades laterales del nivel de dopado del semiconductor. en el caso de las c\u00e9lulas solares cuins2\/cds nuestros resultados permiten determinar que la no estequiometr\u00eda de las capas de cuins2 lleva a la formaci\u00f3n de segundas fases de \u00f3xido de in en la heterouni\u00f3n. Para la c\u00e9lula de silicio policristalino se ha llegado a la conclusi\u00f3n de que las p\u00e9rdidas de eficiencia debidas a la deficiente texturizaci\u00f3n del material son menos importantes que las debidas a los procesos de recombinaci\u00f3n. Finalmente, se ha realizado un estudio de la distribuci\u00f3n de potencial y la estabilidad en las c\u00e9lulas de colorante. Se ha observado que en el ontacto fto\/tio2 el transporte de carga est\u00e1 dominado por la componente de migraci\u00f3n. El estudio cin\u00e9tico realizado a partir de tests acelerados de envejecimiento de \u00e9ste tipo de c\u00e9lulas permite concluir que el proceso de degradaci\u00f3n extr\u00ednseca (debido a la presencia de contaminantes) es simult\u00e1neo y m\u00e1s r\u00e1pido que el de degradaci\u00f3n intr\u00ednseca (inestabilidad del colorante), y puede ser eliminado evitando la contaminaci\u00f3n del
