Adem\u00e1s. el aflojamiento de los implantes ha sido relacionado con el da\u00f1o qu\u00edmico de los constituyentes residuales, el mon\u00f3mero de metacrilato de metio (mma) y el activador, la n,n-dimetil-4-toluidina (dmt).  la toxicidad del mon\u00f3mero metacrilato de metilo (mma) y su liberaci\u00f3n desde el cemento a los tejidos de alrdedor ha sido ampliamente estudiada. sin embargo, pocos estudios se han encontrado acerca de la toxicidad del activador (dmt) o su liberaci\u00f3n desde el cemento curado.  este trabajo ha consistido en aplicar dos nuevas formulaciones de cementos \u00f3seos, en los que se ha introducido como activadores dos nuevas aminas menos t\u00f3xicas (n,n-dimetilaminobencil alcohol (dmoh) y 4,4-bis-dimetilaminoben-zidrol (bzn), con el objeto de disminuir los efectos nocivos que producen los distintos cementos \u00f3seos comerciales.  la finalidad del trabajo ha sido la caracterizaci\u00f3n de estas nuevas aminas activadoras para el curado de cemento \u00f3seos acr\u00edlicos, la caracterizaci\u00f3n de los cementos curados con las nuevas aminas, y el an\u00e1lisis histol\u00f3gico de la bicompatibilidad de estas nuevas formulaciones, basado en las directrices pautadas por la norma espa\u00f1ola une-en iso 10993-1, con los objetivos de:  * definir la respuesta celular inflamatoria, tanto aguda como cr\u00f3nica, sobre tejido conectivo y sobre tejido \u00f3seo.  * evaluar los efectos t\u00f3xicos locales sobre los tejidos.  * determinar la neoformaci\u00f3n \u00f3sea producida con las distintas
