Este gen presenta una alta homolog\u00eda con los receptores opioides de mam\u00edferos, as\u00ed como con otros receptores tipo opioide clonados por nuestro grupo en este pez, siendo esta homolog\u00eda mayor con el receptor opioide kappa de mam\u00edferos.  la estructura g\u00e9nica de zfor3 presenta al menos 4 exones. El primero de ellos se transcribe pero no se traduce, mientras que los tres restantes contienen la secuencia codificante de este gen. Adem\u00e1s, zfor3 mantiene la estructura g\u00e9nica de los receptores opioides kappa clonados en mam\u00edferos. su cdna tiene un tama\u00f1o aproximado de 2.7 kb, y presenta una \u00fanica fase de lectura abierta que codifica para 377 amino\u00e1cidos. El estudio de hidrofobicidad de la prote\u00edna deducida en nuestro nuevo clon muestra la existencia de siete dominios transmembrana, lo que agrupa a xfor3 dentro de la superfamilia de receptores acoplados a prote\u00ednas g.  los estudios farmacol\u00f3gicos realizados sobre la prote\u00edna del gen zfor3, transfectado en la l\u00ednea celular hek293, indican que no se comporta como un receptor opioide cl\u00e1sico, al desplazar la naloxona entre un 20 y un 30% a los ligandos unidos a este receptor. Sin embargo, los agonistas opioides cl\u00e1sicos, s\u00ed producen estimulaci\u00f3n de prote\u00ednas g, siendo esta mayor por agonistas tipo kappa, como son el peptido dinorfina a, y su an\u00e1logo de s\u00edntesis (d-arg6)-dinorfina a.  la expresi\u00f3n en el sistema nervioso del pez cebra del gen zfor3, difere de la obtenida para los otros receptores tipo opioide caracterizados en el pez cebra; y es similar a la observada para el receptor opioide kappa, en las estructuras conservadas entre teleosteos y mam\u00edferos.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>Datos acad\u00e9micos de la
