Angeles <\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>La regulacion del crecimiento en el cancer de mama humano tiene especial importancia en la aparicion y posterior mantenimiento del fenotipo maligno. Los estrogenos ejercen sus acciones mitogenicas a traves de su interaccion con receptores nucleares localizados en las celulas neoplasicas. Ademas de factores hormonales, ha sido descrita la influencia de factores de crecimiento polipeptidicos que actuan a traves de receptores de la superficie celular como mediadores de la respuesta hormonal. Algunos de estos factores y sus receptores son homologos estructurales de los productos de ciertos oncogenes. La secrecion autocrina de factores de crecimiento podria explicar la transicion a un fenotipo hormono-independiente caracteristico de la progresion tumoral en cancer de mama. El objetivo fundamental de esta tesis es el estudio de la implicacion de todos estos factores en la progresion tumoral y perdida de sensibilidad hormonal en biopsias de carcinomas humanos.  nuestros resultados son concluyentes de la implicacion de los receptores hormonales en la diferenciacion celular.
