Asimismo, los organocincicos producen la apertura regioselectiva del heterociclo proporcionando beta- aminoesteres.  los metoyoduros, que se obtienen a partir de las tetrahidrooxazinas por reaccion con exceso de yoduro de metilo, son inertes a los magnesianos, pero reaccionan facilmente con hidruro de litio y aluminio y borohidruro sodico para dar aminoeteres o complejos de estos con borano.  las reacciones comentadas, cuando se realizan sobre una oxazina quiral, transcurren con una estereoquimica determinada, proporcionando estereoselectivamente los correspondientes aminoalcoholes, que se transforman facilmente, y con altos rendimientos, en las aminas primarias quirales.
