Este tipo de variables son frecuentes en la investigacion educativa, bien por la misma naturaleza del tema o bien por la carencia de instrumentos de medida mas precisos que proporcionen datos cuantitativos. Ademas, resulta un procedimiento sumamente util por su caracter multivariado, que se adapta mejor a la complejidad de los actuales problemas de investigacion en ciencias sociales.  la tecnica loglinear permite la consideracion simultanea de mas de dos variables categoriales, localizando un modelo que defina la estructura de los datos en  terminos de sesgos de variables aisladas, relaciones entre variables, interacciones de una tercera, una cuarta, etc.  variable. Es posible determinar la importancia de cada uno de los terminos del modelo, definir su intensidad y su sentido, comprobar su significacion y detectar casillas extremas con respecto modelo. Tambien se incluye la descripcion de programas de ordenador elaborados especialmente para esta tecnica, mediante ejemplos de analisis y descripcion de resultados. Finalmente, se aplica el procedimiento a los datos obtenidos mediante una encuesta a profesores de egb sobre el uso de medios didacticos, seleccionando los datos referidos al uso del libro de texto en las fases preactiva e interactiva de la ense\u00f1anza, valoraciones de las dimensiones curriculares y estructurales del texto, analisis de los motivos para su uso mayoritario entre el profesorado y analisis de la dependencia versus independencia del libro de texto en funcion de la experiencia docente y el ciclo de ense\u00f1anza.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>Datos acad\u00e9micos de la tesis
