El mem permite incorporar informaci\u00f3n sobre el comportamiento de las opciones incorrectas, as\u00ed como sobre la presencia de adivinaci\u00f3n en las respuestas. sin embargo, dado el alto n\u00famero de par\u00e1metros, existen numerosas dificultades para su estimaci\u00f3n e interpretaci\u00f3n.  nuestro objetivo en este trabajo es analizar si puede facilitarse la estimaci\u00f3n reduciendo la flexibilidad del modelo donde no resulte necesaria. para facilitar la estimaci\u00f3n se propone:  1,- establecer algunas restricciones, justificadas conceptualmente, en la estimaci\u00f3n de los par\u00e1metros de discriminaci\u00f3n del modelo.  2,- establecer una versi\u00f3n del mem en el que la probabilidad de escoger la opci\u00f3n correcta sea, aproximadamente, mon\u00f3tona creciente en 0.  para permitir estas restricciones fue necesario el desarrollo de nuevo software; el programa polymorf permite la estimaci\u00f3n del modelo restringido estableciendo modificaciones en el algortimo. Em cl\u00e1sico para la estimaci\u00f3n de par\u00e1metros en los modelos de teor\u00eda de respuesta al item (bock y aitkin, 1981). Mediante un estudio de simulaci\u00f3n se compara la eficacia relativa de polymorf frente a multilog, programa que no permite al usuario incorporar tales restricciones. Se simularon datos de diversas distribuciones (normal, uniforme, asim\u00e9trica positiva y asim\u00e9trica negativa), 2 tama\u00f1os muestrales (2100 y 4200 sujetos) y 4 condiciones respecto a la presencia de respuesta al azar (100, 75, 25 y 0% de las respuestas en las que el sujeto ignora la correcta). Para cada condici\u00f3n se simularon 20 r\u00e9plicas de las respuestas a un test de 30 \u00edtems. Como medidas de ajuste se consideraron las correlaciones entre los par\u00e1metros verdaderos y estimados, el rmse (ra\u00edz del error cuadr\u00e1tico med<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>Datos
