A todas las pacientes se les ha practicado de forma previa a la intervenci\u00f3n un estudio ecogr\u00e1fico-doppler y la determinaci\u00f3nd el marcador tumoral ca125. Se han diagnosticado 98 tumores benignos y 28 neoplasias de ovario. Se ha efectuado un estudio de correlaci\u00f3n entre las variables del estudio ecografico-doppler de la tumoracion y el resultado de benignidad o malignidad. A continuaci\u00f3n se ha llevado a cabo el estudio histologico de neovascularizaci\u00f3n, consistente en la tinci\u00f3n de un fragmento de cada tumor mediante el anticuerpo monoclonal anti-cd34 que ti\u00f1e especificamente los vasos, y se ha cuantificado la vascularizacion de la preparacion mediante microscopia optica y digitalizacion de la imagen.  se ha realizado un estudio de correlaci\u00f3n entre las variables ultrasonogr\u00e1ficas y las del estudio histol\u00f3gico de neovascularizaci\u00f3n. Finalmente, se ha efectuado un estudio de correlaci\u00f3n entre las variables analizadas en el estudio de neovascularizaci\u00f3n y los factores pronostico del cancer de ovario.  conclusiones  1. La informacion que aporta el estudio ecografico convencional es superior a la que aporta el estudio de vascularizacion del tumor mediante doppler color y pulsado, siendo la presencia de partes solidas el parametro ecografico mas sensible y la presencia de ascitis el mas especifico. El estudio del mapa de color supera el analisis de la onda de velocidad de flujo, siendo la distribuci\u00f3n central de los vasos la variable doppler que mejor se correlaciona con malignidad.  2. Respecto a los tumores benignos, la neoplasias malignas de ovario presentan un grado vascular histol\u00f3gico subjetivo significativamente superior, asi como una marcada tendencia a que el nuemro de
