En el problema unidimensional, la temperatura en el infinito ya no es finita sino nula y en el problema esferico, el flujo termico en la zona critica es siempre inferior o comparable al maximo fisicamente posible.  en el capitulo 3 se aplica al problema unidimensional una formulacion no local (integral) para el flujo termico desarrollada por albritton et. Al. (1986). Se comprueba que esta formulacion tambien admite solucion de semejanza, recupera los resultados de la formulacion clasica para bajas energias y presenta nuevas soluciones con plasma finito para altas energias. Para un cierto intervalo (2,3) de un parametro a que identifica las soluciones, la interfase plasma-vacio es colisional, una peque\u00f1a fraccion (despreciable) de la energia termica escapa al vacio, los efectos no-locales se circunscriben a una region delgada y se confirman los resultados macroscopicos globales del tratamiento clasico. Mas alla de a=3 la interfase deja de ser colisional y se requiere una nueva formulacion (global) del problema cinetico.  en el capitulo 4 se desarrolla una formulacion integral alternativa que por su
