Se somete a consideracion la virtud y el vicio y la reaccion de los heroes en momentos dramaticos de su vida. Se sigue una metodolog\u00eda filologica tradicional (= contrastacion de textos griegos). Se analiza la funcionalidad del vicio (tambien el vicio fisico). Tambien se contrastan estos con los caracteres de teofrasto. Todo ello acompa\u00f1ado de una exhaustiva casuistica. Se concluye que hay una cierta congruencia entre moralia y vidas, que plutarco esta por el termino medio, que el vicio aparece en el propio heroe o en otro como arquetipo para iluminar la virtud de aquel. Que hay una vision bipolar de los heroes biograficos, sin el tono caricaturesco y teofrastico. En resumen, es un esfuerzo de idealizacion o, mejor, encarnacion de sus ideas morales, en el que sus heroes son tratados con autentica dignidad, incluso en sus
