Se analiza el modelo de rayleigh-benard en condiciones de contorno rigidas y libres, obteniendose con las primeras dos caminos diferentes de evolucion hacia el caos segun sean las condiciones iniciales. En el caso libre el principal resultado es la existencia de un limite a numero de prandtl tendiendo a cero para regimenes supercriticos.  en una segunda parte se analiza la conveccion termica tridimensional en un cilindro vertical, incluyendo el estudio de la estabilidad lineal del estado conductivo para un cilindro con paredes rigidas conductoras y aislantes y bases libres.
