A trav\u00e9s de la bibliografia existente y del amplio repertorio documental consultado, nos aproximamos a las siller\u00edas corales desde tres ambitos: en primer lugar desde un punto de vista estilistico y cronol\u00f3gico, en segundo lugar, llevando a cabo una valoracion funcional del coro a traves de la exigencias liturgicas, por ultimo, definiendo su forma y su mobiliario.  el cat\u00e1logo de siller\u00edas engloba m\u00e1s de setenta conjuntos corales. La siller\u00eda catedralicia, las sillerias parroquiales (30 conjuntos corales ) y las siller\u00edas conventuales (11 sillerias de conventos masculinos, 13 femeninos, ademas de 15 conjuntos desaparecidos).
