Los sustratos que han sido objeto de estos estudios poseen esqueletos germacranicos y eudesmanicos. Los microorganismos que se han utilizado para realizar estos estudios son los hongos curvularia lunata y rhizodus nigricans.  de estas incubaciones se han obtenido productos con funcionalizaciones en
