Para mejorar el sistema de desarrollo e implantacion de una cobertura vegetal en zonas degradadas, utilizamos por un lado los metodos de propagacion vegetal, mediante tecnicas de cultivo \u00abin vitro\u00bb, y de otro, mejoramos la calidad de las plantas seleccionadas para colonizar las zonas degradadas, mediante el establecimiento de simbiosis radiculares con microorganismos del suelo implicados en la fijacion y movilizacion biologica de nutrientes. Asi, la formacion de micorrizas contribuye al enraizamiento de las plantas y para que estas capten, p.N. Micronutrientes y posiblemente agua. Mientras que la formacion de nodulos en la simbiosis rhizobium-leguminosa es la responsable de la fijacion de dinitrogeno atmosferico, que la planta puede utilizar. Este es un proceso clave en el ciclo del n, ya que supone la entrada de este nutriente indispensable en la biosfera. Estudiamos para mejorar el conocimiento y profundizar: los ecotipos de los microorganismos aislados en la zona de trabajo y el establecimiento de la doble simbiosis (enicorrizas- rhizobium-leguminosa)
