En experimentos \u00abin vitro\u00bb, la interaccion entre ambas poblaciones celulares en presencia de igm especifica policlonal, dio lugar a la supresion del crecimiento de las celulas tumorales mediante un mecanismo citotoxico y citostatico. Solo un acmo (a10) fue capaz de producir supresion por un mecanismo citostatico. En experimentos \u00abin vivo\u00bb la igm especifica, tanto monoclonal como policlonal, es capaz de producir proteccion contra el crecimiento del tumor en ratones inoculados. La proteccion es independiente de la accion litica del complemento y para que se produzca es imprescindible la participacion del macrofago como celula efectora. La igm especifica reconoce en la celula de erhlich un antigeno de alto contenido en carbohidratos, capaz de liberarse de las celulas tumorales, inhibiendose su expresion y su liberacion por
