El trabajo lleva a cabo un estudio del desarrollo de los ganglios simpaticos en el gato, y de los ganglios raquideos en ambas especies, desde el nacimiento de los gatos y desde los renacuajos a los adultos. Los resultados muestran grandes diferencias entre ambas especies asi como entre los ganglios raquideos y simpaticos de gato, si bien al llegar a adultos en todos los casos se alcanzan caracteristicas similares. A la luz de los resultados se pueden establecer tres tipos de gliocitos ganglionares. Los perisomaticos, de naturaleza astrocitaria; los perifibrilares, celulas de schwann, y los interneuronales cuyo estudio esperan proseguir. La diferenciacion en el sapo corredor parece ser mas lenta que en los gatos.
