La caracterizacion de los materiales resultantes se ha efectuado por aplicacion de distintas tecnicas espectroscopicas (ir, rmn), de difraccion de rayos x (polvo), microsonda electronica (tem-edx;sem-edx) y microanalisis elemental (icp). El analisis estructural (metodo de rietveld) de los compuestos obtenidas muestra que son isoestructurales entre si, perteneciendo a la familia estructural de los \u00abbronzoides\u00bb de wolframio y fosforo, de formula general (po2)4(wo3)2m, con un valor de m=2. Todos ellos presentan una celda unidad de simetria ortorrombica, con z=4 (grupo espacial p      ), siendo la caracteristica estructural mas importante la existencia de canales pentagonales y romboedricos segun la direccion (010). A partir de los oxidos obtenidos se han sintetizado bronces de litio, de formula general liy nbx ta1-x vo5 (ox1), mediante procesos de insercion redox. Como muestran estudios por xps, el proceso de insercion lleva asociado una reduccion del vanadio, mientras que los cationes niobio y tantalo permanecen en su estado original de oxidacion. El analisis por drx de los bronces sintetizados, asi como estudios de desinsercion demuestran el caracter topotactico y reversible del proceso. Los compuestos sintetizados han sido asimismo, caracterizadas por espectroscopia de impedancia compleja, poniendose de manifiesto el caracter ionico de la conductividad electrica observada, asi como,
