El planteamiento de este trabajo de investigacion es novedoso en su intento de lograr una vision conjunta en el tiempo, descubrir la formacion, pensamiento y actuaciones de los academicos escultores, y comprender el proceso que dio lugar a la existencia de este conjunto de obras. Para ello se ha analizado a lo largo de nueve capitulos, la importante participacion de los academicos escultores en el establecimiento y desarrollo de la corporacion, el entorno de estos escultores desde sus primeros contactos en el seno de la institucion, su proceso formativo y sus trabajos vinculados a ella, el contenido de sus producciones y escritos teoricos defendiendo unos ciertos postulados esteticos muy marcados, y el resultado plastico de su obra a traves de la catalogacion de todas las obras escutoricas originales del museo, estudiando previamente el como, por que, y en que
