Hemos dado una aproximacion analitica para la inversion de poblacion cuando el campo se encuentra inicialmente en un estado comprimido. Hemos mostrado asimismo que es posible el atrapamiento de poblacion en modelos de atomos de dos niveles y estudiado las consecuencias derivadas de este hecho en la luz emitida por el atomo. Por ultimo, hemos obtenido y resuelto las ecuaciones de evolucion, en aproximacion de born, para el caso en que el atomo se encuentre amortiguado por un ba\u00f1o electromagnetico en estado vacio
