Una vez obtenida la biopelicula estable en un reactor filtro anaerobio por goteo desde su inoculacion hasta el estado estacionario, se estudio el efecto de distintos sustratos (acidos grasos volatiles y lactosa) sobre la acumulacion de biomasa metanogenica y total aplicando tecnicas como la medida del cofactor f420, propio de los metanogenos, el nitrogeno total y el peso seco. Asimismo, se visualizaron las muestras de biopelicula por microscopia electronica de barrido. Otro factor analizado fue la limitacion del fosfato, un nutriente esencial por sus requerimientos biosinteticos y bioenergeticos, comprobandose la posibilidad de metanogenesis y proliferacion celular en carencia de fosfato exogeno, asi como la existencia de un maximo para su consumo en torno al 80% del suministrado. Finalmente, el desarrollo de un modelo dinamico para el crecimiento de una biopelicula con dos poblaciones estratificadas permite predecir los perfiles de concentracion y actividad enzimatica en el interior de la biopelicula resolviendose por el metodo de colocacion ortogonal.
