Este proceso fue estudiado en condiciones normales de iluminacion (fotoperiodo ciclico, 14 horas de luz y 10 de oscuridad) y en condiciones experimentales: luz continua (24 horas diarias de luz) y oscuridad continua (24 horas diarias de oscuridad), con el fin de determinar como influian las condiciones de iluminacion ambientales sobre la diferenciacion de la glandula. Durante este proceso se definieron cuatro fases. En algunas de ellas se describieron en las celulas secretoras organulos citoplasmicos propios de una poblacion celular con intensa actividad metabolica, incluyendo algunos poco usuales, como nematosomas y cuerpos de cisternas laminares, que no habian sido descritos previamente. Se determino que las primeras fases del desarrollo no son influenciadas de forma sustancial por el fotoperiodo. Las primeras modificaciones observadas en animales experimentales aparecieron cuando estos tenian los ojos abiertos.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>Datos acad\u00e9micos de la tesis doctoral
