Dicha translocaci\u00f3n es capaz de fosforilar el diacilglicerol de la membrana plasm\u00e1tica que ha sido previamente generados por la acci\u00f3n de una fosfolipasa c.  la modulaci\u00f3n del dag de la membrana plasm\u00e1tica llevada a cabo por dgk en  este sistema conduce al control de la expresi\u00f3n de genes que responden a dicho segundo mensajero lip\u00eddicos entre ellos el ant\u00edgeno de expresi\u00f3n temprana cd69.  durante el transcurso de esta tesis hemos generado una serie de mutantes entre los cuales una versi\u00f3n que se comporta como un dominante negativo sobre la enzima end\u00f3gena y una versi\u00f3n constitutivamente activa, que junto con el uso de inhibidores espec\u00edficos de la dgk nos han permitido demostrar que diferentes actividades dgk regulan la duraci\u00f3n e intensidad del pol de dag que ha sido generado por plc.  la dgk alfa presenta 3 dominios que han sido caracterizados funcionalmente. determin\u00e1ndose dentro de ellos la regi\u00f3n catal\u00edtica de la enzima y el dominio de interacci\u00f3n de esta enzima con la membrana plasm\u00e1tica. Adem\u00e1s hemos determinado que el dominio de uni\u00f3n a calcio que presenta esta isoforma est\u00e1 regulando tanto la actividad como la localizaci\u00f3n de esta
