La correlacion se apoya en un estudio analitico, hormonal e ionico.  en adrenalectomia parcial, observamos un aparato yuxtaglomerular muy activo, evidenciado por un indice yuxtaglomerular muy elevado y una alta actividad de renina plasmatica. El componente neurosecretor magnocelular muestra una importante reaccion morfologica vasopresinergica, acompa\u00f1ada tambien de unos valores elevados de vasopresina.  la situacion homeostatica hicroelectrolitica pone de manifiesto, sin embargo, una situacion de normalidad, aunque se de una elevacion de na urinario. La aparente discordancia entre unos y otros datos la interpretamos como necesidad de una constante activacion del sistema renina-angiotensina para lograr que la glandula remanente supla la produccion de aldosterona.  en adrenalectomia total, el cuadro yuxtaglomerular es de un bajo indice y una caida progresiva del nivel de renina plasmatica. El componente neurosecretor magnocelular muestra una reaccion vasopresinergica intensa, acompa\u00f1ada de una alta tasa de vasopresina plasmatica.  en cuanto a las constantes, hay alteracion de diuresis, disminucion de na y k urinarios ademas de una reduccion de na plasmatico y aumento de k.  la alteracion hidroelectrolitica creada, con paso de na al espacio no intercambiable del conjuntivo y hueso, y una natriuresis relativa, conlleva que no pase al espacio intersticial; falla, en consecuencia, la tension osmotica precisa para que se reabsorva liquido a nivel colector, a pesar de la alta tasa de vasopresina, lo que acentua los problemas hemodinamicos propios de la insuficiencia adrenal, con hipovolemia e hipotension, los cuales representan estimulos no osmoticos para la respuesta
