Esta metilasa reconoce la misma secuencia y metila la misma base en el adn, que el sistema rm sali de streptomyces albus g. Se ha determinado, por otra parte, que el sitio de corte de la endonucleasa rrh4273i, es el mismo que el de sali, lo cual demuestra que ambos sistemas son isoesquizomeros. A pesar que ambos sistemas presentan la misma especificidad, no existe homogia entre el adn cromosomico de la especie productora de la metilasa y los genes que codifican el sistema rm sali.  se ha analizado el efecto de la sinefungina sobre metiltransferasas y otras actividades en el genero streptomyces, observandose que inhibe la actividad, pero no la sintesis de metilasas de adn y arn, siendo mas efectiva sobre las de arn. Las adn-metiltransferasas de streptomyces incarnatus (productor de ese antibiotico) no son inhibidas. Asimismo, inhibe la sintesis de proteasa extracelular y desoxirribonucleasa de streptomyces antibioticus.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>Datos acad\u00e9micos de la tesis doctoral
