En los ultimos a\u00f1os se han desarrollado tecnicas alternativas de produccion de los mismos, como el cultivo \u00abin vitro\u00bb de celulas y tejidos vegetales, buscando un alto rendimiento y un menor precio. La produccion de cardiotonicos a partir de digitalis sp. Es uno de los ejemplos mas representativos sobre la aplicacion de estos sistemas. El objetivo de esta memoria, ha sido el establecimiento de las condiciones mas adecuadas para el cultivo \u00abin vitro\u00bb de d. Thapsi y el estudio de la produccion de cardiotonicos mediante estas tecnicas. Los resultados obtenidos fueron: 1- obtencion de callos y regeneracion de plantas a partir de explantos foliares y apices caulinares.
