La evaluacion de las modificaciones glandulares se realizo antes de alcanzar el estadio adenomatoso, a los 14, 21, 28, 35 y 49 dias de tratamiento, mediante tecnicas histoquimicas e inmunocitoquimicas de microscopia de luz convencional, ultraestructurales de microscopia electronica de transmision y de barrido, morfometricas y analiticas.  los resultados basicamente muestran una hipertrofia e hiperplasia tanto del parenquima, como del estroma glandular, con imagenes de crecimiento tiroideo, hipertrofia e hiperplasia celular, conjuntiva y vascular.  existen diferencias morfologicas y morfometricas durante el proceso bociogeno entre el interior glandular y las regiones perifericas, que presentan un fenomeno direccional centrifugo de las modificaciones desde el centro glandular
