Se han preparado part\u00edculas de ferrita de cobalto esf\u00e9ricas multidominio siguiendo un m\u00e9todo de coprecipitaci\u00f3n. Estas part\u00edculas se han caracterizado atendiendo a su composici\u00f3n qu\u00edmica, y propiedades electrocin\u00e9ticas, magn\u00e9ticas y termodin\u00e1micas superficiales. Se ha estudiado la estructuraci\u00f3n de los fmr con fase magn\u00e9tica se ferrita de cobalto, bajo la acci\u00f3n de campos magn\u00e9ticos externos, mediante medidas de permeabilidad. Se ha estudiado la estabilidad de suspensiones acuosas de ferrita mediante medidas de la absorbancia \u00f3ptica en funci\u00f3n del tiempo. Los resultados se discuten incluyendo las interacciones magn\u00e9ticas en la teor\u00eda dlvo. En consecuencia, es factible una floculaci\u00f3n en m\u00ednimo secundario que explica los resultados experimentales de forma satisfactoria en presencia de un campo magn\u00e9tico externo. Tambi\u00e9n, se emplea un enfoque reol\u00f3gico para estudiar la velocidad de sedimentaci\u00f3n de las suspensiones acuosas. En todos los casos la aplicaci\u00f3n de un campo magn\u00e9tico conlleva una mayor respuesta el\u00e1stica del sistema que podr\u00eda asociarse a las estructuras inducidas por el campo. Sin embargo, independientemente de la aplicaci\u00f3n del campo, el potencial zeta desempe\u00f1a un papel determinante en las caracter\u00edsticas viscoel\u00e1sticas de las suspensiones acuosas. Se ha observado que las suspensiones de ferrita de cobalto constituyen un nuevo tipo de fmr que funcionan a campos peque\u00f1os (0-17.8ka\/m) con el efecto opuesto al de fmr cl\u00e1sicos: una disminuci\u00f3n del esfuerzo umbral con el campo. Se realiza un estudio reol\u00f3gico en suspensiones en medios no polares (tanto en estado estacionario como en r\u00e9gimen din\u00e1mico).
