reflexi\u00f3n introductoria de car\u00e1cter te\u00f3rico, sobre el valor de arte.  a continuaci\u00f3n se desarrolla el concepto de \u00abiconograma\u00bb como cuadro general del p\u00f3rtico rom\u00e1nico, entendido como la manifestaci\u00f3n m\u00e1s acabada de la escultura monumental.  desde el an\u00e1lisis de las condiciones hist\u00f3ricas de la zamora medieval, se realiza un estudio de su escultura rom\u00e1nica, dividiendo el arte local en tres grupos o secuencias iconogr\u00e1ficas con caracter\u00edsticas propias.  como ejemplos significativos se analiza el simbolismo de las principales obras del rom\u00e1nico zamorano, ello en relaci\u00f3n a los temas guia del pensamiento de la \u00e9poca: dios luz, naturaleza, creaci\u00f3n, hombre microcosmos, la encarnaci\u00f3n &#8230;..  este an\u00e1lisis lleva al doctorando a descubrir rastros de heterodoxia y posible iconoclasia en las obras estudiadas.  y por \u00faltimo, como conclusi\u00f3n se subrayan los rasgos peculiares del tom\u00e1nico zamorano: intelectualismo, profundidad simb\u00f3lica, amiconismo, y a se\u00f1alar su inserci\u00f3n en un conjunto m\u00e1s amplio: galicia y norte de portugal, situado
