La tesis estructura su contenido fundamental en dos partes claramente diferenciadas:  &#8211; la primera parte realiza una uniformizacion sintactica de los diferentes mecanismos de transferencia. Esto consiste genericamente en formular cada mecanismo de tal forma que se mantenga lo inherente al fenomeno fisico en cuanto a las relaciones funcionales entre las variables involucradas; y se elimine de la formulacion todo lo que sea especifico de la tecnica de modelizacion utilizada para representar dicho mecanismo.  &#8211; la segunda parte acomete lo que se denomina una sistematizacion de los acoplamientos existentes entre los diversos mecanismos.
