El agrupamiento de los resultados mediante upgma a partir de la matriz de similaridades obtenida con el coeficiente de sokal-michener, ha rendido un total de 10 fenones, de los cuales cinco han sido adscritos a las especies: p. Putida, p. Fluorescens, p.  pseudoalcaligenes, p. Stutzeri y shewanella putrefaciens.  el uso de tecnicas moleculares (hibridacion dna\/dna, patrones genicos de rna ribosomico) ha permitido la caracterizacion genetica de los miembros de los fenones cuyo estatus taxonomico no ha podido ser esclarecido mediante el analisis fenotipico. Se ha constatado la validez de la comparacion de los patrones genicos de rna ribosomico con fines taxonomicos, asignandose un total de 10 cepas ambientales a la especie acidovorax
