Se ha abordado el estudio de las caracter\u00edsticas antig\u00e9nicas, capacidad de uni\u00f3n a distintos receptores y alteraciones de tropismo de variantes del virus de la fiebre aftosa (vfa) de serotipo c adaptados a c\u00e9lulas bhk-21, desvelando mecanismos de coevoluci\u00f3n de antigenicidad y tropismo celular del virus. Se ha estudiado el comportamiento antig\u00e9nico, estabilidad gen\u00e9tica e infectividad para ratones lactantes de variantes de vfa con sustituciones de amino\u00e1cido en el triplete rgd del bucle g-h de la prote\u00edna vp1.
