Uno de ellos, de 1251 pb, codifica la 3-oxoacil-coa tiolasa peroxinal y su mutacion se asocia a un fenotipo de incapacidad de metabolizar acido oleico como fuente de carbono. La transcripcion de dicho gen, al que se denomino pota, esta sujeta a tres mecanismos diferentes de regulacion: represion por glucosa, induccion por acido oleico y activacion en la fase estacionaria de crecimiento. Existe un sitio hipersensible a la bnasa i en el promotor del gen sobre la secuencia reguladora. Con la activacion de pot1 se observa el desplazamiento de los nucleosomas situados en el promotor y los de la region inergenica entre los dos genes.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>Datos acad\u00e9micos de
