(1-2x)zro2.Sio2 con x entre 0 y 0,1 moles. Los metodos sol-gel empleados son tanto el que se denomina gel coloidal como el denominado gel polimero. En el primero se obtiene un gel por desestabilizacion de una suspension coloidal de los precursores y en el segundo mediante un proceso controlado de hidrolisis-condensacion de alcoxidos. El estudio permite caracterizar en el sistema tres tipos de disolucion solida: la v+4-zrsio4 azul de baja saturacion que se estabiliza a altas temperaturas cuando se emplean geles y valores de x inferiores a 0,03 en la composicion, el limite de esta disolucion solida se estima en el 4 por mil molar, una disolucion solida v4,v5-zrsio4 de color verde intenso que se obtiene en geles y en muestras ceramicas al aumentar la temperatura, con valores de x superiores a 0,03 en el caso de geles, por ultimo, una disolucion solida v+4-f&#8211;zrsio4 de color azul de alta saturacion y que da lugar al pigmento ceamico \u00abazul de vanadio\u00bb.
