Nuestra hip\u00f3tesis central es que en la demanda de conciertos de m\u00fasica culta, los factores determinantes no son los econ\u00f3micos (precios y nivel de renta, entre otros) sino aquellos factores que favorecen la adquisici\u00f3n del gusto musical.  en primer lugar, la investigaci\u00f3n empieza con un an\u00e1lisis de la m\u00fasica cl\u00e1sica como servicio. Este an\u00e1lisis se aborda desde dos perspectivas. primeramente desde el estudio de la evoluci\u00f3n de la econom\u00eda de la m\u00fasica cl\u00e1sica en el tiempo, mediante el an\u00e1lisis de su estructura de producci\u00f3n y difusi\u00f3n. Posteriormente, se estudian las caracter\u00edsticas econ\u00f3micas inherentes a la m\u00fasica. Despu\u00e9s de conocer el producto se aborda el an\u00e1lisis de la demanda. El estudio de la demanda se lleva a cabo tanto des del plano te\u00f3rico (la conducta del mel\u00f3mano) como des del estudio de los an\u00e1lisis de demanda cultural nacidos bajo la rama de la econom\u00eda de la cultura, haciendo hincapi\u00e9 en cada uno de los factores determinantes de la demanda. el \u00faltimo paso de la investigaci\u00f3n consiste en un an\u00e1lisis emp\u00edrico a partir de una encuesta propia a los asistentes al concierto. Se trata de construir un modelo multivariante de frecuentaci\u00f3n al concierto de tal manera que nos permita identificar la presencia de un proceso de acumulaci\u00f3n de capital humano musical en el consumidor. El modelo estimado confirma la hip\u00f3tesis principal, pues el subconjunto de variables independientes que m\u00e1s informaci\u00f3n aporta sobre las probabilidades de que un individuo sea asiduo al concierto est\u00e1 formado, \u00edntegramente, por variables relacionadas con los procesos de formaci\u00f3n de preferencias.
