Su actividad parece estar regulada por la masiva fosforilaci\u00f3n que se produce en la maduraci\u00f3n del oocito a huevo.  en este trabajo se ha comparado estructural y funcionalmente tanto la nucleoplasmina obtenida de fuentes naturales como la expresada en e.Coli, adem\u00e1s de dos mutantes de delecci\u00f3n. Los resultados muestran como la fosforilaci\u00f3n no produce modificaciones en la estructura secundaria de la prote\u00edna pero s\u00ed parece influir en su estructura terciaris y\/o cuaternaria. Las fosforilalci\u00f3n de ciertos residuos en la regi\u00f3n c-terminal, favorece la exposici\u00f3n de una regi\u00f3n rica en glut\u00e1micos (poli-glu) capaz de interaccionar con prote\u00ednas b\u00e1sicas. Por otro lado la mayor fosforilaci\u00f3n de esta prote\u00edna se produce en el dominio n-terminal, el cual adquiere la capacidad de descondensar cromatina esperm\u00e1tica y unir prote\u00ednas
