Asimismo, se generaron plantas dise\u00f1adas para intentar expresar los dominios catal\u00edticos de hmgr1s y hmgr2, a fin de estudiar las posibles funciones reguladoras de los dominios hidrof\u00f3bicos que anclan estas prote\u00ednas al ret\u00edculo endoplasm\u00e1tico, seg\u00fan se ha descrito en animales, plantas y levaduras.  se gener\u00f3 un n\u00famero variable de l\u00edneas transg\u00e9nicas independientes para cada una de las construcciones utilizadas y las diferentes l\u00edneas fueron llevadas hasta homozigosis. Entonces, un n\u00famero representativo de l\u00edneas de cada construcci\u00f3n fue analizado:  1,- mediante nothern blot, para estudiar los niveles de expresi\u00f3n de los transgenes.  2,- mediante western blot, para analizar los niveles de acumulaci\u00f3n de las prote\u00ednas expresadas.  3,- mediante medidas de actividad hmgr.  4,- mediante medida de los niveles de esteroles, utilizando cromatograf\u00eda de gases.  5,- mediante estudio de los fenotipos y an\u00e1lisis ultraestructural (microscop\u00eda electr\u00f3nica de transmisi\u00f3n).  6,- mediante t\u00e9cnicas de inmunocitoqu\u00edmica.  el resultado de estos materiales permiti\u00f3 concluir:  1,- la expresi\u00f3n de los genes hmg1 y hmg2 y los niveles de hmgr1s, hmgr1l y hmgr2
