A su vez, se ha descrito que la se\u00f1alizaci\u00f3n medidad por beta-catenina es capaz de inducir proliferaci\u00f3n celular, inhibir la anoikis, o inhibir la parada en ciclo celular inducida por la exposici\u00f3n a rayos gamma en algunos sistemas celulares.  sin embargo, se ha descrito que beta-catenina induce parada en ciclo celular o apoptosis en ciertos contextos del desarrollo y en varios sistemas celulares. a fin de aclarar la regulaci\u00f3n de beta-cetanina a lo largo del ciclo celular y su posible participaci\u00f3n en el control del ciclo celular y la inducci\u00f3n de apoptosis, hemos analizado los niveles y la localizaci\u00f3n subcelular de beta-catenina a lo largo del ciclo celular y su relaci\u00f3n con el producto del gen supresor apc (adenomatous polyposis coli).
