Con este ambito, se ha elaborado un material compuesto biodegradable basado en una matriz polim\u00e9rica biodegradable reforzada con part\u00edculas de vidrio de fosfatos solubles basados en el sistema p2o5-cao-na2o y distribuidas al azar. Debido a que las propiedades mec\u00e1nicas y el comportamiento frente a la disoluci\u00f3n de esta clase de vidrios es altamente dependiente de su composici\u00f3n, se ha realizado en primer lugar el estudio de un rango de composiciones, evaluando cu\u00e1les de ellas presentan las propiedades m\u00e1s adecuadas como para constituir un buen refuerzo del material compuesto. posteriormente, se ha elaborado un material compuesto con un 40% en peso de refuerzo mediante extrusi\u00f3n y moldeo en caliente, analizando el efecto del procesado sobre las propiedades iniciales del material. Finalmente, se ha estudiado la viabilidad del material elaborado para el desarrollo de implantes de osteos\u00edntesis caracterizando su degradaci\u00f3n in vitro en medio fisiol\u00f3gico as\u00ed como in vivo. De los resultados obtenidos depender\u00e1 la conveniencia de optimizar las propiedades mec\u00e1nicas del material, as\u00ed como de profundizar en el estudio del comportamiento in vivo del
