Dicha base estaba compuesta por un total de 63 series recogidas en distintas posiciones y profundidades de ambas r\u00edas a lo largo de 18 periodos, con una duraci\u00f3n media de los fondeos de 40 d\u00edas.  el trabajo comenz\u00f3 con una caracterizaci\u00f3n preliminar de las series, centrada en el estudio de dispersi\u00f3n y el an\u00e1lisis espectral. Se distinguieron dos rangos de frecuencia de inter\u00e9s, el rango mareal y el rango submareal, y se abord\u00f3 el an\u00e1lisis de las corrientes en ambos rangos de forma separada.  la descripci\u00f3n de la din\u00e1mica mareal fue realizado mediante la t\u00e9cnica del an\u00e1lisis arm\u00f3nico, utilizando 5 componentes (m2, s2, n2, k1 y o1). las corrientes mareales presentaron fuertes diferencias dependiendo de la localizaci\u00f3n, profundidad y \u00e9poca del fondeo.  para el estudio en el rango submareal fueron empleadas diversas t\u00e9cnicas (correlaci\u00f3n cruzada compleja, an\u00e1lisis espectral cruzado, descomposici\u00f3n en funciones emp\u00edricas ortogonales) que pusieron de manifiesto la importancia del viento como forzador de la circulaci\u00f3n, y permitieron caracterizar su efecto sobre las corrientes en las r\u00edas.  por \u00faltimo, se utilizaron los registros de corrientes para determinar caudales y tiempos de renovaci\u00f3n, los cuales
