materiales arcillosos y arenosos, tratados en fr\u00edo con derivados del petr\u00f3leo y mezclados con los adecuados componentes qu\u00edmicos, pueden dar como resultado productos p\u00e9treos artificiales con caracter\u00edsticas semejantes o comparables con los \u00e1ridos naturales.  los suelos arcillosos de las zonas de selva tropical son mayoritariamente later\u00edticos y constituyen el 90% de los materiales inorg\u00e1nicos disponibles. el 10% restante son arenas sil\u00edceas, que forman bancos o terrazas en los cauces fluviales.  los ensayos realizados en laboratorio permiten asegurar que dichos suelos son una materia prima utilizable para la fabricaci\u00f3n de \u00e1ridos artificiales de comportamiento suficiente.  la investigaci\u00f3n realizada puede contribuir a
