A trav\u00e9s de un exhaustivo estado de la cuesti\u00f3n, el autor repasa m\u00faltiples investigaciones llevadas a cabo en todo el mundo para medir los efectos mentales y comportamentales en los p\u00fablicos de la visi\u00f3n de contenidos violentos televisivos.  a partir de las principales conclusiones de estas investigaciones, el autor utiliza una doble metodolog\u00eda para descubrir las formas de la representaci\u00f3n de la violencia en los spots publicitarios: como pilar fundamental, el an\u00e1lisis de contenido, y como procedimiento anal\u00edtico concreto, el an\u00e1lisis narrativo.  los resultados cuantitativos de la investigaci\u00f3n se ofrecen a trav\u00e9s de m\u00e1s de un centenar de tablas y gr\u00e1ficos, resultado de aplicar una extensa ficha de an\u00e1lisis sobre un corpues de cincuenta y seis spots publicitarios que cumplen los requisitos de la investigaci\u00f3n.  la tesis concluye que la publicidad televisiva actual imita los modelos de
