Guadalupe Barajas L\u00f3pez <\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Los objetivos de esta tesis doctoral son la caracterizaci\u00f3n de un agua residual urbana, la prefermentaci\u00f3n del agua residual y la optimizaci\u00f3n de la eliminaci\u00f3n biol\u00f3gica de nutrientes en el tratamiento del agua residual en un reactor biol\u00f3gico secuencial (rbs). El agua residual de una zona residencial de barcelona se caracteriz\u00f3 mediante par\u00e1metros t\u00edpicos de las aguas residuales y, espec\u00edficamente, mediante los \u00e1cidos grasos vol\u00e1tiles (agv), el potencial de \u00e1cidos grasos vol\u00e1tiles (potencial de agv) y la dqo fraccionada, con el fin de evaluar su aptitud a la eliminaci\u00f3n biol\u00f3gica de f\u00f3sforo. Se desarroll\u00f3 una modificaci\u00f3n del m\u00e9todo original del potencial de agc, que simplifica el procedimiento.  los valores promedio del agua residual afluente fueron: 282 mg\/l mes, 472 mg\/l dqo, 39 mg\/l nt, 30 mg\/l n-nh4, 12 mg\/l pt, 7 mg\/l p-po4 soluble. aunque se encontraron valores bajos de agv (8,5 mg\/l) y de la ratio vfa\/pt (0,71 mg dqo\/mg p), el potencial de agv (118 mg\/l) y la ratio potencial agv\/pt (18 mg dqo\/mg p) fueron comparables con los valores recomendados para la eliminaci\u00f3n biol\u00f3gica de f\u00f3sforo. Del an\u00e1lisis del fraccionamiento de la dqo y de los datos del potencial de agv se concluy\u00f3 que la mayor parte de la dqo f\u00e1cilmente biodegradable y, probablemente una fracci\u00f3n de la lentamente biodegradable, se emplearon para la producci\u00f3n de agv, en la prueba del potencial de agv.  se dise\u00f1\u00f3 un ciclo complejo de 6 h para optimizar la eliminaci\u00f3n biol\u00f3gica de nutrientes (ebn): llenado est\u00e1tico (1 h), llenado an\u00f3xico (0,75 h), llenado aireado (0,25 h), llenado an\u00f3xico (0,75 h), llenado aireado (0,25 h), reacci\u00f3n aer\u00f3bica (1,5 h), reacci\u00f3n postan\u00f3xica (0,75 h), decantaci\u00f3n (0,63 h) y vaciado (0,12 h). El tiempo de llenado present\u00f3 el 50% del total, mientras que la aireacci\u00f3n supuso el 33% del tiempo del ciclo. El ox\u00edgeno disuelto se control\u00f3 con un regulador pid, con un punto de consigna de 2,0 mg\/l.
