Se incluyen los resultados pertenecientes a la caracterizaci\u00f3n estructural y morfologica de los sistemas, si bien en algunos casos han sido completados con pruebas de actividad catal\u00edtica. El trabajo ha sido estructurado en tres bloques:  a,- caracterizaci\u00f3n especiroscopica de los polimorfos del \u00f3xido de circonio.  b,- estudio estructural, morfol\u00f3gico y de actividad catal\u00edtica en la oxidaci\u00f3n de hidrocarburos de \u00f3xidos mixtos de mu-zr obtenidos por el m\u00e9todo sol-gel y c.  c,- caracterizaci\u00f3n estructural y morfol\u00f3gica de impregnaciones de \u00f3xidos de magneso sobre \u00f3xidos mixtos de ce-zr.  como conclusi\u00f3n principal del trabajo se tiene que estos \u00faltimos materiales (impregnaciones) re\u00fanen las propiedades de estabilidad estructural y morfol\u00f3gica adecuadas para ser empleados. Como catalizadores de oxidaci\u00f3n de hidrocarburos, y los primeros ensayos catal\u00edticos. Indican que ofrecer rendimientos prometedores como continuaci\u00f3n del trabajo, se est\u00e1 realizando actualmente una amplia variedad de ensayos catal\u00edticos en la oxidaci\u00f3n de
