Esta capacidad la presentan diferentes tipos celulares del sistema inmune que expresan en su membrana diferentes receptores encargados de mediar el reconocimiento de estructuras propias o extra\u00f1as y modular la actividad de la c\u00e9lula. En este sentido, las c\u00e9lulas natural killer y las c\u00e9lulas dendr\u00edticas presentan en su superficie, entre otros, receptores pertenecientes a la familia de las lectinas dependientes de ca2+ encargados de realizar esta funci\u00f3n. Algunos de los genes que codifican estos receptores, expresados preferencialmente por c\u00e9lulas natural killer, han sido localizados formando un agrupamiento g\u00e9nico en el brazo corto del cromosoma 12 (12p12.3-13.2). este agrupamiento ha sido denominado natural killer gene complex.  en este trabajo se describe un mapa f\u00edsico de alta resoluci\u00f3n que abarca 2,5 mb de la regi\u00f3n gen\u00f3mica natural killer gene complex, basado en un continuo de cromosomas artificiales de bacteria (bacs y pacs) que permite localizar, ordenar y orientar transcripcionalmente 19 genes de tipo lectina identidicados en esta regi\u00f3n y expresados en diferentes tipos celulares, aunque mayoritariamente en c\u00e9lulas dendr\u00edticas y natural killer. Este mapa ha servido de sustrato para la secuenciaci\u00f3n de esta regi\u00f3n en el contexto del programa genoma humano en el baylor school of medicine (houston, usa) y la disponibilidad de los resultados en las bases de datos ha permitido la b\u00fasqueda de nuevos genes por comparaci\u00f3n de secuencias. As\u00ed, a partir de secuencias hom\u00f3logas al dominio de uni\u00f3n de carbohidratos, caracter\u00edstico de la familia de las lectinas, se han identificado dos genes nuevos (dlec y dectin-1), y un pseudogen (clr) hom\u00f3logo a una familia g\u00e9nica de rat\u00f3n. estos genes han sido clonados y se ha caracterizado su estructura gen\u00f3<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>Datos acad\u00e9micos de
