El estudio se ha llevado a cabo bajo la hip\u00f3tesis de flujo laminar a altos n\u00fameros de reynolds. Aunque gran parte de los flujos con chorros que se encuentran en la naturaleza o en las aplicaciones industriales son turbulentos, una primera aproximaci\u00f3n a su estudio bajo la suposici\u00f3n de flujo laminar es importante para entender los fen\u00f3menos fluidodin\u00e1micos que se producen, como el desarrollo de capas l\u00edmites sometidas a gradientes de presi\u00f3n adversos originados por la ingesti\u00f3n del chorro, la identificaci\u00f3n de regiones del campo fluido con soluciones de semejanza, la formaci\u00f3n y caracterizaci\u00f3n de regiones de recirculaci\u00f3n del flujo,
