Se describen dos v\u00edas de comunicaci\u00f3n entre ambos sistemas.  a,- una v\u00eda indirecta neuroendocrinol\u00f3gica, a trav\u00e9s de mecanismos secretores hipot\u00e1lamo hipofisarios (fundamentalmente de prolactina, acth, gn) y pineal (melatonina), principalmente.  b,- una v\u00eda directa a trav\u00e9s de la inervaci\u00f3n local simp\u00e1tica y parasimp\u00e1tica de los \u00f3rganos linfoides.  la denervaci\u00f3n simp\u00e1tica de los ganglios linf\u00e1ticos submaxilares, a trav\u00e9s de la ablaci\u00f3n del ganglio cervical superior, produce modificaciones de la v\u00eda neuroendocrinol\u00f3gica, alterando la secreci\u00f3n de hormonas con funciones inmunomoduladoras como la prolactina, acth, y gh o inhibiendo la secreci\u00f3n de melatonina por la pineal.
