Concretamente, se ha estudiado su inclusi\u00f3n en sistemas macroc\u00edclicos, en materiales org\u00e1nicos avanzados y en pinzas moleculares.  respecto a los sistemas macroc\u00edclicos, se han sintetizado estructuras de () i () metaeterofanosm mediante s\u00edntesis convergente 5+1 y 5+3 respectivamente, obteni\u00e9ndose los correspondientes macrociclos dicati\u00f3nicos. Mediante desprotonaci\u00f3n y extracci\u00f3n inorg\u00e1nico con una rii (forma oh) se obtuvieron las correspondientes bis-beta\u00ednas. Se ha llevado a cabo un minucioso estudio estructural por rmn de prot\u00f3n y carbono-13, y por em-esi. Adem\u00e1s se ha realizado un estudio del efecto plantilla por parte de aniones en las reacciones de macrocilaci\u00f3n, no observ\u00e1ndose en ning\u00fan caso un aumento apreciable de los rendimientos.  a su vez, la s\u00edntesis de los protofanos precursores penta y trinucleares requiere laboriosas secuencias sint\u00e9ticas de 8 y 6 etapas respectivamente. estas mol\u00e9culas prot\u00f3n-ionizables constituyen un reservorio de bloques fundamentales basados en anillos arom\u00e1ticos y heteroarom\u00e1ticos excedentes, para la construcci\u00f3n de arquitecturas moleculares y materiales con capacidad complejante.  se ha dise\u00f1ado nuevas estructuras que contienen beta\u00ednas heteroc\u00edclicas como subunidades, con un espaciador interanular de acetileno o biciclo (2.2.2) octeno, para su evaluaci\u00f3n en el campo de la \u00f3ptica no lineal y materiales avanzados, o como pinzas dipolares respectivamente. Se han intentado sintetizar mediante diversas estrategias sint\u00e9ticas sin alcanzar el objetivo propuesto. Sin embargo se ha podido comprobar la elevada inestabilidad de los sistemas de acetilenpiridinio e imidazolio.  se han preparado por primera vez sistemas de bis-bencimidazolilbiciclo (2.2.2)octeno,
